Japanese Blueberry Tree

Evergreen tree that grows 30’ tall and 25’ wide, has densely branched upright habit. New leaves are rusty and hairy, turning smooth and bright green. Oldest leaves eventually drop, turning red before they fall.

Blooms in summer with tiny, scented white flowers in clusters, followed by blue-black fruit that look like small olives (or blueberries—-hence the name).

Makes a very attractive street or lawn tree. Likes rich, well-drained soil, full sun and regular water.
