Paulownia - Princess

Best known for its stunning display of spring flowers.  Tree is fast growing, attaining a height of 30’ and up with a nearly equal spread.  Heavy trunk with nearly horizontal branches.

Smooth brown flower buds the size of small olives form in autumn and last through the winter, then open in early spring. Buds open before leaves and form upright clusters (6-12” long) of trumpet shaped 4-5” long highly fragrant flowers—white and purple exterior and pale yellow interior with dramatic purple dots.

The large, light green leaves are heart shaped 5-12” long and 4-7” wide. 

Likes full sun, deep, moist, well-drained soil and regular watering.
