Leafminer:

Citrus Leafminer is increasingly becoming a concern in Southern California. The pest is not specific to any groves or nurseries and there seems to be little that can be done in the way of prevention. If you have a citrus tree with leaves that look like this

then leafminer is likely to blame. Most probably, you will find the pest on brand new succulent growth - the softest and greenest of leaves. Do not prune off damaged leaves because undamaged areas of the leaves continue to produce food for the trees.

Please be particularly careful when treating edible trees like citrus. The treatment cannot penetrate the fruit itself. We have found products to treat Leafminer in our own personal trees at L&M Fertilizer in Temecula. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Be sure to treat the problem as soon as you discover it so that your trees to can return to growing and thriving.

We hope this is helpful!
