Fast growing evergreen reaches up to 40 feet high, 20 feet wide and makes a great canopy tree. Pale yellow flowers in spring, dark-green, strap-shaped leaves, 2-4 inches long. Does best in rich soil but will still thrive in poor soil. Requires little water and thrives in heat and drought. Uses: quick growth, screening and erosion control but should not be planted near sidewalks or patios. Australian native, hardy to 15-20 degrees. |
