Fruit is green when immature, light yellow when ripe, almost the size of a lemon. It is seedless and very juicy. Crop is heaviest in fall, although fruit stores on tree turning from green to yellow before falling off. Tree is quite angular and open when young but forms a dense round crown when mature, reaching 15-20 feet. Must be protected from severe frost. |
