Useful as landscape plant as well as for fruit. Fountain shaped shrub or tree depending on the training. Up to 20 feet tall. Needs sun for best flowers and fruit. Drought tolerant. Grows well in alkaline soil that would kill most plants. Cold hardy. Will freeze to roots at 0° and recover. Extra large fruit, flesh rich, red color, juicy with sharp flavor. Ripens in September. |
