With their dense fountain-like clumps of foliage and showy blue umbrella-shaped clusters of flowers, these resemble a river of blue against a sea of green. They bloom in late spring through early summer and their small funnel shaped flowers shoot up on leafless stalks at least one to three feet high. Flowers come in blue, violet-blue and white. Zones 7-9. |
