From the east coast of Australia, this evergreen tree forms a broad dome to 60 ft. It has a massive buttressed trunk and smooth gray limbs, frequently sprouting aerial roots. The thick leathery leaves are dark green with a rusty or pale olive felted reverse. Pairs of globular yellow fruit mature in autumn. Tolerates occasional frosts to 21°. Zone 9 |
