Deciduous tree that grows rapidly to 20-30 feet in first 5-6 years, then slows as it reaches full height of about 50 feet with 40 foot spread. Straight trunk with open, rounded crown. Provides very dense shade, tolerates full sun or partial shade. Heat and wind tolerant, likes well drained soil with average to moist watering. Zones 3-12 |
