Lavender Starflower

Grewia occidentalis

Fast growing shrub, tends to branch freely, making a

natural espalier if given the correct support.  Unstaked it grows 6-10 feet tall (sometimes higher), with equal spread. Can be trained as a single-trunk small tree or tied in place to cover an arbor or trellis. Star shaped flowers are lavender pink with yellow

centers. Blooms in late spring and

sporadically in the fall. 

 

Tolerates wind well. Likes full sun and regular watering.
